Every year there are more municipalities that enable beaches, or beach areas, for pets, in some cases also offering special services for pets and their owners.
Now that it’s so hot, here’s a list of beaches where dogs are welcome.

Don’t forget to comply at all times with the rules of the beach. The rules vary between municipalities, so we strongly recommend that you check them to be safe, but they usually include:
- Carrying the animal’s documentation in order (veterinary passport, identification card).
- Staying within the area marked as a dog-friendly beach.
- Controlling the dog so that it doesn’t bother other users.
- Dogs classified as potentially dangerous must be kept on a leash and muzzled.
- Pick up the droppings and put them in a bin.
Also, take care of your pet on the beach so that they have a good experience:
- Protect them from the sun and excessive heat.
- Make sure they are well hydrated.
- Don’t force them into the water if they don’t like it. They’ll have fun playing on the sand.
- After the salt water and sand, give them a fresh water bath to get them clean.
And that’s it. We hope you can enjoy a lot with your pets this summer.
